Therapy Sessions

The Therapeutic Studio, LLC charges $155 - $205 for intake sessions and standard 50-minute psychotherapy sessions. Sessions shorter than 50 minutes may be billed at a pro-rated fee; however, this does not apply if a client arrives late. Any extension of a session beyond the scheduled 50 minutes will be billed in 15-minute increments at $46.50 - $62 per increment.

To reserve your first counseling session, clients must complete the credit card authorization form, acknowledgment of our financial policy, and demographic form within 48 hours of booking. Failure to complete these forms will result in the first session being rescheduled. If an intake session is canceled within 36 hours of the scheduled time, or if a client does not attend without notice, the credit card on file will be charged.

All other forms must be completed within 24 hours of the first session. This allows the clinician time to review the information and ensure that treatment needs are addressed during the intake. If forms are not completed in advance, the clinician may require additional sessions to cover all necessary information.

Responses to texts and emails are billed in 15-minute increments, prorated at the cost of an individual session. Phone consultations, when deemed  necessary by the clinician, are billed in the same 15-minute increments. Any documents prepared to support therapy will also be billed in 15-minute increments.

If more than one provider is involved in a client's care, each provider's time will be billed at their respective rates.

Educational Advocacy and Consultation

The Therapeutic Studio, LLC provides educational advocacy and consultation services designed to support clients and families in school and academic settings. School-based consultations are billed at $155 - $205 per 50 minutes, while phone consultations are billed at  $110 - $205 per 50 minutes. Virtual consultations are billed at  $155 - $205 per 50 minutes. Please note that fees may vary depending on the provider.

Administrative or scheduling calls lasting 15 minutes or more will be billed in 15-minute increments. While we recognize the text and email communication is often convenient, services provided through these platforms are also billed in 15-minute intervals. Clients are reminded that confidentiality and safety cannot be fully guaranteed when using technological platforms such as phone, text or email.

Methods of Payment

The Therapeutic Studio, LLC uses Simple Practice, a HIPAA-compliant platform. This system allows you to pay securely through a text message sent directly from Simple Practice. Please follow the instructions in the text message to complete payment.

Group therapy sessions are offered throughout the year, and pricing may vary depending on the type of group.

Sliding Scale

The Therapeutic Studio, LLC offers a limited number of sliding scale appointment slots to ensure that care remains accessible to clients with financial need. To qualify for a reduced rate, clients may be asked to provide supporting documentation such as a Medicaid or Medicare card, proof of gross household income, tax returns, and the number of persons residing in the household. Based on this information, your provider will determine the appropriate sliding scale rate and the number of sessions available at that rate. At the conclusion of the agreed-upon sessions, the arrangement will be reassessed to determine whether continuation at the reduced rate is appropriate.

Legal/Collaborative Fees

The Therapeutic Studio, LLC provides letters and reports for purposes such as surgery, psychiatry, school, court, or primary care providers. To ensure timely preparation, requests must be submitted at least ten business days before the information is needed. Each request should specify who the letter or report is addressed to, the purpose of the correspondence, the date by which it is required, whether you would like a copy for your records, and the mailing address for delivery. Please note that letters can not be sent by email or fax, and a Release of Information form must be completed before any correspondence can occur.

Fees for written documentation vary depending on the type of report and the provider. A basic treatment summary is billed at $110 per 50 minutes for Master-level therapists and $165 - $205 per 50 minutes for Licensed-level therapists. An extensive, detailed letter or report is billed at $155 per 50 minutes for Masters-level therapists and $165 - $205 per 50 minutes for Licensed-level therapists.

For legal requests, clients should be aware that therapists at The Therapeutic Studio, LLC are not specialists in Forensic Psychology. Certain legal matters, such as custody evaluations or expert witness involvement, may require a retainer. Any time spent on legal proceedings, including preparation and attendance, will be billed at $500 per hour per provider, plus travel expenses if travel exceeds 20 miles from our office 

Billing and Payment

Clients are expected to pay their full session fee at the time services are provided. Accepted payment methods include cash, checks made payable to The Therapeutic Studio, LLC, or credit/debit cards processed through Simple Practice.

Any outstanding balances that remain unpaid for more than two weeks may result in suspension of services until the balance is resolved. A credit card may be requested to keep on file, regardless of your preferred payment method.

Notice: In compliance with the No Surprise Act, a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) can be provided upon request. 

If a credit card is declined or a check is returned, a $30 fee will be added to the client's invoice, and notification will be provided immediately. Following notification, the card on file will be processed if available or an alternate form of payment will be requested. If the second form of payment is also declined, services will be suspended until payment is rendered.

If payment is not received after two notices and a final notice, The Therapeutic Studio, LLC reserves the right to send the unpaid balance to collections.
